That is a gorgeous flower photo kate. I will be busy at concert on Wednesday but will have my fingers crossed for you. You are certainly MY woman of the year !!!You have really inspired us all. Thankyou
Vote 1 for Woman of the Year. I really like the monster child's plastic visor. It sets off the mask so well. Zelda and Boof are just beautiful. They look so angelic I'm sure they would never do anything naughty. Remember the cute little fabric trimmer and needle threaders we bought at the craft fair? Well Tag just chewed mine up! Good Luck
Hi Kate.I recommend those wonderful fabric stores there in Montmartre, although I don't know which one in particular would have specifically french fabric. Le Rouvray near the Notre Dame Cathedral does have French fabric, although I thought it was rather stiff and icky feeling. Enjoy your trip. For those of you have read the book by Susan Coolidge, you will know the main character as "Katherine Louise Carr". As far as I am aware, my parents have never read that book, but I share te same name as that said "Katy", with the exception that I am just Kate, not Katherine!
I live in Ballarat, Victoria with my husband , two boys, two dogs, one cat, five chooks and a fish. I really enjoy my work as a string teacher at Ballarat Grammar, but am never really happy unless I'm creating something. I have had a go at most crafts (patchwork, folk art, decoupage, leadlighting, beading.....),but patchwork and quilting are my main passions. I don't have a lot to show for all my hours work at home because what I make generally goes to someone else as a gift. The thing I love about making something for someone else, is that I think about the person while I am creating. On occasions, it has been difficult to pass on a gift, as I feel as though it has become a part of me. I'm sure that many others feel this way too!
